SEMZ is proud to have partnered with Hester Hornbrook Academy and Melbourne City Mission to deliver innovative education environments that support some of Victoria’s most vulnerable young people with fee free, healing orientated learning and wellbeing.
Delivered in collaboration with Hutchinson Construction, the Werribee Campus is a purpose-built facility providing flexible and inclusive learning pathways for students whose needs are not met by mainstream education. Catering for approximately 220 students and 40 staff, the campus supports a broad range of programs including Early Childhood Education, Community Services, and Building and Construction, alongside dedicated wellbeing and outreach services.
Designed by Gray Puksand, the campus delivers a warm and welcoming environment centred around connection and engagement. Key features include a central kitchen that acts as the heart of the school, dedicated learning spaces for young parents, extensive landscaped outdoor areas with exercise facilities, and purpose-built environments that support students to re-engage with education in a safe and supportive setting.
Following the delivery of Werribee, SEMZ also completed the Hester Hornbrook Academy city campus in Melbourne CBD, providing a highly accessible, hybrid urban learning environment for students. Together, these campuses reflect a shared commitment to creating spaces that prioritise wellbeing, flexibility and opportunity.
SEMZ is currently supporting the delivery of two additional Hester Hornbrook Academy campuses in Geelong and Dandenong, further expanding access to these critical education services and continuing a long-term partnership focused on impact-driven outcomes.
