We’re pleased to announce that doors are now open at Chadstone’s newest attraction! Merlin Entertainments is the largest entertainment company operating from company headquarters in Europe. Merlin runs 114 attractions in 23 countries across four continents and has expanded operations to now include Legoland Chadstone.
SEMZ Project Management worked alongside Merlin Entertainments to deliver the first Legoland Discovery Centre of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Doors opened six weeks ahead of schedule to huge excitement and anticipation on April 18. Touted as Melbourne’s latest tourism landmark, Legoland Chadstone is expected to attract over 300,000 visitors in its first year.
Project Managing the construction and fitout of this amazing 2800sqm indoor attraction was a challenging experience for the SEMZ PM team. Designed for families and children featuring unique indoor attractions which include Lego sculptures and play zones, rides, special party rooms for birthdays, a 4D cinema, and ‘Miniland’- an interactive display of Melbourne. Managing a project involving more than two million Lego bricks was certainly a first for us!
Legoland is a significant addition to the $600 million redevelopment of Chadstone Shopping Centre and one which SEMZ is proud to have been involved in.
