Community Partners
We give back to the community.
SEMZ Community Partners
At SEMZ we have forged relationships with our chosen community partners to give back to our community in a meaningful way.
Our team benefits from taking an active role in these partnerships. We embrace staff-led initiatives for giving back, and encourage new ideas and opportunities for SEMZ to make a difference.
Uniting
From the emergency and crisis support a person needs to survive, to the hope and encouragement that will help them thrive; Uniting provides support for people and communities as they face life’s challenges, no matter how big or small they might seem.
SEMZ partner with Uniting, volunteering our time to help their ‘Food for Families‘ appeal, distributing non-perishable food and toiletries to those in need.
DOXA Cadetship Program
The DOXA Cadetship Program supports talented young people from challenging life circumstances to complete university and gain the skills needed for an employable future.
As a Cadetship Program partner, SEMZ plays a vital role in this journey – one which many young people describe as life-changing. For us as a corporate partner and mentor, it’s a life-changing opportunity too!
Salvation Army / RMIT Project
SEMZ have partnered with RMIT University to mentor and guide Project Management students throughout an exciting 12-week capstone project.
In conjunction with The Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) and supported by the Salvation Army, this incredible project involves the RMIT students managing a project to provide improved facilities on-site at the St Kilda PCYC rooming house.
Residents of the rooming house are vulnerable young adults (18 – 25 years) who have experienced adversity, including homelessness and poverty.
