The Victorian government recently released designs for a new vertical primary school in North Melbourne.

North Melbourne Hill Primary School (interim name) will be an innovative new vertical school located on Molesworth Street, North Melbourne.
The school is set to add exciting new amenities to Melbourne’s inner north and west when it opens in 2023, with construction of the school expected to start mid-2021.
These include a large, landscaped playground offering a diversity of play and recreational experiences for children, an outdoor stage, tiered seating and flexi-space for events and performances; along with a gymnasium suited to competition grade basketball and netball. Both areas are designed to share with the community outside of school hours.
A kindergarten for three- and four-year-old children will be built on level five of the school, incorporating two rooms and opening onto generous outdoor learning and play spaces.
