As Project Manager and Superintendent on the VSBA’s Kindergarten on School Sites (KOSS) 2024 Projects, SEMZ is proud to have successfully delivered five brand new Kindergartens on school sites. The facilities were all operational for day one, term one this year at; Kyabram P-12 school, Napoleons Primary School, Roxburgh Park Primary School, St Albans Meadows Primary School and Willmott Park Primary School
These new kindergartens provide additional kindergarten infrastructure capacity to support the roll-out of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten.
The kindergartens were planned, designed, and built through permanent modular buildings, prefabricated in a factory and transported to site where they were assembled and completed. “Lean manufacturing techniques” can reduce waste and save costs and time. It can also provide higher quality through the more controlled environment of the factory.
The new architecturally designed permanent modular buildings offer a fast and efficient solution, with less disruptions to staff and students while enabling the VSBA to deliver projects in short timeframe.
The project was delivered under budget and on time with key features of the Kindergartens including;
